BIOGRAPHY
Daniel P. Menick
Daniel P. Menick was born in New York in 1922. He had two brothers Fred and Frank and two sisters Grace and Mildred. In Rye his family lived at 23 High Street and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Daniel attended Port Chester schools and graduated Port Chester High School, class of 1940.
He married Florence Verilli August 22, 1942, at the time he was working for the Bullard Company in Bridgeport.
He enlisted November 6, 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
After the war, Daniel and Florence started a family. Daniel would open his own delicatessen and become very successful.
Daniel died April 1, 1976 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Daniel Menick, 53, of 6701 NW 77th Street, Tamarac on Friday. A resident seven years from Port Chester, N.Y. Survived by his wife, Florence; daughters, Mrs. Barbara Panso, Miss Sharon Menick both of Tamarac; sisters, Mrs. Mildred Verille, Mrs. Grace Carly both of Tamarac; brother. Frank Menick of Miramar; uncle, Doni Mimck of Tamarac.
A funeral mass was held at St. George Catholic Church. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
